Town Kastel Stari

It was named after an old castle, built by a nobleman Koriolan Cipiko from town Trogir in the year 1476 Town Kastel Stari is a nice seaside town surrounded by the fertile field and beautiful nature. History of town Kastel Stari

The History Of Town Kastel Stari is recording that Kastel Stari emerged around a castle, built in 1476 by a landowner Koriolan Cipiko from town Trogir. This fortress -palace has been built on a reef for better protection from any type of attacks. He had dug up a deep ditch and built a drawbridge over it. In case of danger of land attack it was mechanically lifted from the northern side of the castle. In the History Of Town Kastel Stari at the beginning of the 16th century, due to frequent invasions of Turks, inhabitants of the village Radun built a settlement and a fort with town walls near the castle Cipiko. Later on, the settlement spread outside the walls by building numerous churches and houses. In the latest history of town Kastel Stari, it has become the modern town which is dealing in tourism, trade and traffic.
