Fishing evenings

Organization of the fishing evenings is a tradition of the Makarska cultural summer during the tourist season, because the guests and tourist like to come to this beautiful riviera, and enjoy the pebbles beaches and the pine trees forests. To advertise the products and the dalmatian dishes, the town of Makarska, organize the fishing parties every summer on the open city areas and the beaches. Usually, it starts on Friday, about 21 h when the summer heats fall, by the escort of the city brass. There are 3 programs: Restaurant, entertainment and musical. Within the restaurant program, there are offered: Fishing grilled specialties, fishing brudet, salted sardine, fishing patties, wines and numerous dalmatian sweets.

The entertainment program covers : Rope pulling, throwing the stone from the sholder, pushing the rural wooden cart, walking on the greasy beam, running in the bags, waiters race, and the firework, at the end of the party. The music program contains the: Dalmatians gangs, music and dancing groups. The guests and tourists, specially adore these kinds of socializing and celebration, because they enjoy the good dishes and wines in the evening hours. If, there is proper society, who sing and dance, the top entertainment is endless. The fishing parties are the componet part of the town Makarska offer, because the guests and the tourists are very interested in these fishing evenings.
