Nature park Vrana lake Croatia is situated in middle western part of Croatia, 35 km south eastern of town Zadar, between town Pakostane and Betina and it has surface of 57 km2. Nature park Vrana lake Croatia has been proclaimed as park in year 1999. to protect numerous species of vegetation , birds and fish. Vrana lake is Largest Lake in Croatia, 14 km long and 4 km wide, 1 km far of seaside and it is in depression of 4 m. Since in its north western part there are thick reeds, here reside 241 species of birds, of which 102 are nesting here, like they are herons, harrier, coots, cormorants, hawks and other birds. Nature park Vrana lake Croatia is rich of fish species, like they are eels, carps, catfish, pikes, mullets and other species of fish. Vrana lake is habitat or wintering for numerous birds which are coming and stay here and continue their flight to warmer areas in Italy or Africa. In Nature Park Vrana Lake Croatia there are ornithological and ichthyological reserves to prevent habitats of water birds and numerous fish. Because of vicinity of large tourist towns Zadar and Sibenik, large number of guests, excursionists and tourists are coming here to enjoy beautiful nature and watching of numerous birds. Management of Nature Park Vrana Lake Croatia is in Biograd at sea, 6 km north of lake.
