International gastronomic festival Pearl of sea

International gastronomic festival Pearl of sea is organized by Allliance of Mediterranean and European regions in March and April in Town Supetar on island Brac, in Svpervs hotels under high patronage of Ministry of Tourism of Republic Croatia. International gastronomic festival Pearl of sea has started in year 2005. with only 20 Croatian cooks, while this year, about 250 – 300 top cooks from 20 countries are checked in for competition. At International gastronomic festival Pearl of sea will be present most famous rectors and deans of Academies for hotel management and gastronomy, cooks and confestioners from whole world and best Croatian cooks and confectioners. Cooks and confectioners are competing individually and as representatives of their schools with default themes, types of dishes and pastries. Preparation of dishes is taking place in open boxes, so visitors can, at every moment see way and type of dishes and pastries preparation. This manner of presentation International Gastronomic Festival Pearl Of Sea delight audience, visitors, guests and tourists. After finished official part of International gastronomic festival Pearl of sea, all these dishes and pastries are offered to all participants, guests and tourists, so they could taste specialties from different countries of world and admire to this gastronomy delight. At end of International Gastronomic Festival Pearl Of Sea in evening, music, dance and tasting of various dishes, wines and juices. Becide competition of cooks International Gastronomic Festival Pearl Of Sea includes lectures, presentations, tasting and entertainment, from which we set apart:

-Preparation of Brac specialty on Supetar dock in large pot, -
- Race of cooks in Neretva boats,
- Competion of journalists,
- Evenings of Macedonian, Bosnian, Indian, Romanian and Polish cousine,
- Tasting of wines of best Croatian winemakers.

For participants every day by buses will be organized trips to: Island Brac museum in town Skrip, testing of wines in town Dracevica, hamlet Gazul and mountain Vidova gora at promotional prices.
